I like weird props.

I confess I'm always on the lookout for a two-headed alligator, or a haunted artifact, or a genuine fake ceremonial fetish... who knows what will turn up in a second-hand shop and then find its way into a shoot? Here are just some of the weird props I've used (these were for a TLC editorial shoot).

Two other shoots that used fun props were Sinister Siblings (180mag) and Doll Parts (Ion magazine).

Palm Springs

An editorial that I worked on last fall with Trevor, was finally published this month in PrivatAir Magazine. I love the shots, and loved the experience! All those palm trees, all those wind towers, all that hair threatening to fly away in the gale force! As a result, I also love hairspray.

Topsey-turvey

Here are some never-before-seen BTS snaps of some crazy-room images I did with Fred and a bunch of willing extroverts. Each set took about 80 hours between Fred and I (and Aja our helpful hot-gluer), but the pay-off was in the hilarious times and final images.

Hope I haven't blown any illusions, or let slip something that should remain magical (ie. see Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, and really good card tricks), but there it is. Judge for yourself.

Lucky Charms

I've been lucky to meet and work with so many sweet models, and there are a few individuals who I never tire of collaborating with. Carolyn is the top of that list. Smart, fun, talented and very dear. Here are some of my favourite "takes" on Carolyn. All shot by Fred with hair, make-up and styling by me.

Beautiful dancer

Here are some shots from a creative I did last fall, finally posting them somewhere. I LOVE that neckpiece.

First image post...

I've decided my first images post will be my own photography. That way I don't play favourites with any of the cool photographers I get to work with - especially my sweetie, Fred Fraser (who technically has the first image because he shot my happy profile image).

These are some of my "blurrist" photos, my preferred way of seeing the world around me.

First Post!!

So, hey there, this is my first go at blogging. I don't know how much writing I'll be doing, but I'm pretty sure there will be a LOT of image updates, because I am almost always doing something that results in visuals.

So keep your eyes open. Heh.
