Zee Croissant

Ms Croissant, that is, Jacqueline. She's lovely, and light... but not flakey. Anyway, I had fun with my tickle trunk, and trying to get a few different hairstyles going (which is not easy with hair that is for the most part shorter than an inch.) and just check out those amazing luminous eyes. Oh, yeah baby, they're real.

Anywho, it's also very nice to work with someone who is comfortable wearing very sheer clothing, even though my aim was not to "show anything", when styling it always seems so jarring to have to put a bra under a lovely lace or sheer top, or having thong lines show under elegant pantyhose. As you can see, we reveal nothing but the beautiful textures of the clothing.

Katharina in the afternoon

Well, in the afternoon, and in the morning. Kind of a midday thing, really. you know, when there's lots of light and all you have to do is use it.

I made a little setting for Kat, dolled her up a bit, and we explored a soft, reflective, innocent mood. A nice little exercise for both of us, me as a sometime photographer, her as a new face model. It's lovely to learn without pressure!

Anyway, here are some results from our play day.

Chasing the Light - Tantalum Magazine

This shoot was literally chasing the light as it played coy and popped in and out all day. Fortunately, Ben wasn't fazed, and the shots are lovely and hot and resort looking all the way through. Amazing pieces by Nariman, and Jordan is simply stunning. And thanks to the kind bus drivers (waiting patiently beside their charter buses all afternoon) who let Jordan change in the bus, saving us time and hassle while shooting on location. :)

Magpie Darling - Hollow Moonlight

Here's a new editorial out in Magpie Darling, a UK-based magazine. Love the styling in this spread, great combination of real vintage and modern "vintage" looks. And I got to play with hair... colouring her hair ends pink and adding blunt-cut bangs, then doing smudgy pink and blue-black eyes. Add the colourful set and fun gels - way too much fun with colour!
